About Temple
Dedicated to Shri Mahammayi Chamundeeshwari the temple is one of the new Chamundeshwari temples in Ajilamuger. The devotees in Karnataka introduce Chamundeshwari as Naada Devi, which signifies “state Goddess.” One of the seven Matrikas (mother goddessess), Chamundeshwari is a manifestation of Chandi, the Hindu Divine Mother Shakti. The most significant festival observed here is Navaratri. Offerings are given by devotees on the 7th day of Navaratri, which is devoted to the goddess Kali.
